Milford, CT - Richard Pilla of Paramount Partners, LLC and Tim Londregan
of Londregan Commercial Real Estate Group, LLC were the sole brokers
in completing the deal that put the new 4,500 square foot Krispy
Kreme on a 48,000 square foot parcel at the traffic lighted intersection
of Post Road and Red Bush Avenue in Milford.
Londregan of Londregan Commercial
and Pilla of Paramount Partners are New England Dough’s
representative in Connecticut. The third New England store
is scheduled to open in Cranston, Rhode Island.
Following an exhaustive analysis
and search throughout Connecticut, the site search team of
Pilla and Londregan have
identified certain target markets and has finalized site acquisitions
on the first two Krispy Kreme Doughnut and Coffee Shops to
open
in all of New England. The site search for the continued expansion
of the doughnut phenomenon is continuing. Combined, Pilla and
Londregan have over thirty years experience in the retail real
estate business. Besides Krispy Kreme, Londregan and Pilla
have
completed site search work for and transactions with national
and regional restaurant companies including Wendy’s, McDonalds,
Applebee’s, Starbucks, Boston Market, Dunkin Donuts, Bess
Eaton Coffee Shops and Bakeries, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Newport
Creamery, Bruegger’s Bagels and Einstein Bros Bagels.
For New England Dough, LLC,
Krispy Kreme’s
exclusive area developer for
New England, the Milford store on the Post Road near the Connecticut
Post Mall, opened to much anticipation and fanfare. Several customers
had camped out overnight to be the first customers of the new
Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shop. James L.
Richetelli, Jr., The Mayor of The City of Milford,
The Milford Community Band and The Amity High School Cheerleaders
were all on hand to welcome Krispy Kreme to Milford in grand style.
Founded in 1937 in Winston Salem, NC, Krispy Kreme now has more
than 240 stores in 36 states and Canada. An estimated 5 million
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are made every day and more than 2 billion
are produced each year.
In addition to indoor seating, a Krispy Kreme store offers convenient
drive-thru service. The lobby and drive-thru are open seven days
and serve between 5:00AM to 1AM. Krispy Kreme features a doughnut-making
machine capable of producing more than 200 dozen doughnuts each
hour – all within site of customers through the glass viewing
